Video Tracker page with dead links...
« on: May 08, 2010, 05:27:40 AM »
I found this page after going through my CU Amiga discs and wondering that Video Tracker was all about.

http://members.quicknet.nl/p.van.campen/vtindex.htm

As fate would have it nearly all the links are dead.

Does anyone have a back up of this page and the files minus the woman porn? :)

I used it for a time, it was very popular back then. It was a very cool program that allowed you to synchronize graphics and music in order to generate really good kind of demos, intros, etc.

You can find some files on Aminet, for the others, If you are really interested, I may upload a backup I have with the rest of them, somewhere online. Just let me know.

Aminet files: http://aminet.net/search?query=video+tracker

Thankx for the link. For what ever reason, Aminet didn't cross my mind. Long day. :)

I'll look forward to checking it out and watching a few demonstrations to see its potential.

Remeber that some files are not in Aminet, so if you enjoy the program and really want them, I can upload them for you.

OctaMED S.S. and my MIDI adapter LOVE her! And she's about to get a 030 50Mhz upgrade with 32MB of RAM. She feels at home, thankx again! :)

Gulliver:

This software is AMAZING, much more than what I was expecting, especially for a 1200 with only 2Mb or RAM. I thought I'd have to wait for my 030 to arrive before I'd be able to use it.

Needless to say, if you've got the time, I'd love to get my hands on some more examples for this program.

Thankx!

Yes, it is great, and it is very easy to use.

The following is a link to all the Video Tracker files I have, so that you can download them

Ooo, this sounds like a fun program. It looks like there's a Faces of Mars FreeCD version on Back2Roots... for whenever they get their server working again.

Whoa? Who knew:

"With VideoTracker you can make a video clip around a music module. You can use pictures, brushes, animations, animation-brushes, palettes, color cycle, routines, texts, objects, vector objects, Amiga fonts, Kara fonts, landscapes, color sets. When the video is finished, you can save the module and video data as a "Vidule". A vidule is a crunchable executable file which plays the module and the video. You can make a small intro or a big house-demo. You also can use VideoTracker with a GenLock and, for example, make professional movie-titles with color fonts."

I just saved a copy.

I remember back then I used Vista Pro DEM files with cool landscapes and Videotracker.
BTW, there is a version for non AGA Amigas, it was version 1.42 that came on a coverdisk if I remember correctly.

Anyway, see the attached magazine scan for more information.

@ Gulliver:

Thank you much! So I come to find that I was only using the ECS version before, and I was blown away then. Can't wait to see what the AGA version can do, not to mention learn how to make my own.

This could certainly come in handy for a show with a projection TV or something.

Yeah, CU Amiga was a great magazine. Back in those days they held a video tracker competition. And although I didn't win, they still put me in the magazine.
