Latest WinUAE can emulate an A1K :-D
« on: November 21, 2003, 09:15:13 PM »
I put the Kistart disk in df0: and powered up with no kickstart ROM... I got the workbench disk screen (with no ROM number).. I was able to then boot into workbench and see the original AmigaOS!!!!

I'm one happy bunny... unlike NoFastMem :-)

The oldest Loadwb I have here is 1.3 and that seems to crash OS1.0 :-(

Is it about the minimal OS emulation that provides the UAE? In case you don't have the ROM file, you can always try without it (it can read the bootblock code and startup a game).

Maybe the 1.0 WB is minimaly tied to the ROM (I don't have a clue)?!

I've just read the post more carefully! You put the kickstart disk! That's how boots the ROM an A1000 :-)
