As it was my birthday a few weeks ago the family put together the money for me to get some thing nice.
So I got my self a Playstation 3, and then an Alba 19" lCD HDTV from Argos £99.99
So I hooked my Amiga 1200 up to it via Video leads at first hmmm not bad I though, then I used a scart lead WOW what an amazing picture to say the least. A very good buy and well worth the display.
My Amiga 1200 is now on a 19" HDTV (yes I know the display wont be HD) I shall next get a Scart to VGA adaptor as it has a Scart, Video, HDMI and a PC connector to it. The PC side works very very well indeed I do not want to go back to the HP1702 17" any more, the difference is far to great as far as the Athlon goes. As for the Amiga a bit more experimenting is needed for the PC side of it.
But there is no reason why this should not work.
There is simply no comparison between the HDTV and the HP1702 LCD monitor, the HDTV wins hands down easily. The display on the HDTV is far superior. With the right settings of course.
Hmmmm oh yeah not to mention HD freeview built in to it.
Mike.
