For $300, I'll take it Ed! Payment sent!

@JJ, we had been working out the details for a couple of days, but this last incentive was too good to pass up  :)

Dame me? No thanks, one GF is enough

I didn't have to sell her too hard (we don't have that kind of relationship), but I did off handedly mention that the little guy is really like 2 or 3 computers in one, including the familiar OSX environment. lol

But yeah, no kidding. I'm out of work too and pulling this off was a trick shot. Will have to sell a few toys to make up for it. Money just isn't as easy to come by anymore. I know a lot of people that are hurting worse than me though, so can't complain too much. Yet.

@JJ, we had been working out the details for a couple of days, but this last incentive was too good to pass up  :)

For what you are getting, I mean with the Mighty Mouse, Mac keyboard, Tiger restore disc(s), registered MorphOS license keyfile, installed Bluetooth & Wireless cards, installed 1gb RAM, SuperDrive DVDRW optical drive and the "hard-to-find" 1.5GHz G4 & 64mb VRAM model of the MacMini, you got all of that at a really low price considering that just the MorphOS license fee currently still costs more than $200.  I wish I could have found my 1.5GHz MacMini for less than $100 with free shipping plus a free Mac keyboard and Mighty Mouse!  That was an absolute STEAL!  If I had known about it, I would have bought it and resold it for the $500 he was asking for it in the first place.  MorphOS2.4 is fantastic running on the MacMini with any G4, but is even better with the 1.5GHz G4 and 64mb of VRAM.  One or two guys have even overclocked the 1.5GHz G4s up to 1.83GHz and reported that it remains stable and with an added heatsink still runs cool unless you push the CPU up close to 100% load.

Enjoy your new toy save2600.  If you have not used MorphOS already I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the performance and compatibility of MorphOS2.4.
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

Oh yeah, I've used MorphOS before... remember, I had an Efika for a very short while. lol  Unfortunately, I didn't get very far with the MorphOS experience because that little Efika was just too wimpy. It'll be nice to be able to compare the two though. I'm expecting the G4 is going to meet or exceed my expectations and yes, I do have grand delusions of using an Amiga-like OS as my "main" system  :-)

Photo editing, web surfing, FTP'ing, E-mailing, music storing, some light word processing and spreadsheeting, scanning and printing out to my modern Canon Pixma is ALL I ask. If I can setup the Mini/MorphOS combo to act as a wireless internet hub for other computers around the house, I'll be golden  :-)

Poor computer, being made to do the work that a $10 device on craigslist can do...
3 Commodore file cabinets, 2 Commodore USB turntables, 1 AmigaWorld beer mug
Alienware M14x i7 laptop running AmigaForever

Thats a great deal for you! You'll like MorphOS on it much more than the efika! I guess 128mb vram is nice, but You hit that 128mb ram and 1.1 usb wall pretty quickly with efika.

For the price, I would have strongly considered it! The 1.5 is the fastest (amiga like) hardware you can get...

Not so much for the CPU speed but for the more VRAM. Running mplayer I run out of Vram and get strange artifacts. Turning off the MUI desktop enhancements really helps. You may want to do that anyway.

Also there are loads of youtube videos with os4.0 running on the 1.5 Mini...

Maybe some day ... good purchase!

LOL! Yeah, never had to purchase a Linksys or otherwise wireless hub since I use Mac's and they all have that capability built in  :)

Why computers (especially Mac's) don't yet have cable or DSL modems built in is kind of befuddling though. When it comes to modern computing, I abhor having a desk full of extra doo-dads that require their own power supplies.

All computers have that capability built in, it's just nice to have a dedicated, silent, low-power, cheap device do that job 24/7 saving wear and tear on more valuable equipment.

Sorry for the fancy speak bbond007!

(I say "yep" too whenever I hear people talking about Wal-Mart or today in fact, when I heard the President say: "Tom Middlesex is in 'da house"!  Gotta love the bastardization of our language.

@Tone007: I never leave my computers plugged in and turned on 24/7. Horrible practice IMO. 1/2 the day though, I do leave my main system running in and out of sleep as I need it. BTW: I was unaware that PC's now come standard with wireless cards and can be used to setup a wireless LAN scenario. Must be a relatively new standard as the last time I looked at a PC (few years ago), they weren't yet included.
