SanDisk cards seem to be the most compatible.

I think Lexar and Sandisk have the best reputation, both also come with recovery software which is very useful if you select format by mistake (like I did once!).

Flash has a finite lifetime and will eventually die, I have also heard stories of these companies recovering data from what were seemingly completely dead cards.  That's good to know if you do weddings or any professional photography / video.

A good magician to recover ALL datas: Imre ANTAL  (ex-Chief Editor of the French magazine "AMIGA CONCEPT").
And don't forget that CF are not Hard Drive: some may have a lifetime shorter (many read/write)!!!

I've always had good luck with SanDisk Ultra II cards, they work fine assuming you get a real one. Transfer between Amiga (PCMCIA) and PC is no problem. I like to format and install everything using WinUAE on the PC, stick the card in your Amiga and you're done.

I've used many different brands and models, and I've had problems with many of them except for all the SanDisk cards, which all work with no problems. I learned my lesson a while ago, and only buy SanDisk CF and SD cards for my Amigas now. I install and format them in real Amigas, and have used them in IDE and PCMCIA adapters in A1200s, A600s and a CD32 with SX32.

Okay so if there is a concensus that Sandisk are the ones to go for, Was there any trouble with Sandisk not reporting as 'Fixed Disk' ?  Which i Believe is needed for them to act as an SSD ?

Also, did people buying Sandisk Compactflash, buy them on Ebay ? and did you seek out a 'Genuine Dealer' or take a punt with the Hong Kong sellers with a chance of getting Fake Sandisk ?

No funny issues with mine, they just worked.  I walked into Best Buy and bought them off the shelf.
