You can buy a new Amiga 1200 from us for a fraction of the price...

Say, why does the description of CygnusEd completely lack any mention of ASDG? It was CED's home for years. I edited the CED manual in the birthing room while my daughter was being born. Really.

Surely your giving them away at 200 quid. Would you like mine at 100 each ? 100% profit can't be bad. Its car boot season again, Im sure I can pick up another 10 by christmas. I stuck my nose up at one last week because it didn't have a psu. 10 a penny, there are nearly as common as bread makers.
was Enterprise Vault (Its an Exchange Fail!), now its EMC Avamar, Dedupe for mostly everything including brain cells.

Looks like the UK countyside is riddled with free Amigas....
Should I just fly over there for spring break and rent a car and hit up the local classifieds to scour up Amigas..?

While I'm at it I'll scrape up some frumpy white women... I hear the counrtyside is riddled with them too!

They probably got them for next to nothing anyway, and they've been breaking them for parts and the box (where do you think they get them for the refurbs?). Chances are they've already made the money back a couple of times over. For comparison, a new in box PAL Taiwan Megadrive II (a really rare model, Japanese case but european internals) goes for £20 plus shipping. I'm not too much of a fan of amigakit's buisness model.
A1200 Computer Combat. OS3.0. No accelerator, no fastram, mouse soon. And ebaying it.

I can only assume that because of the 'A1200HD/40' name they thought it contained a 68040 accelerator card?  Even then it's hellish expensive.

Their business model is the same as any others.  Buy low, sell high.  Any business that doesn't follow this basic principle doesn't stay in business for very long.

For example Apple's costs for making the iPad are somewhere around $230 according to CNET, and they're selling them for $499.

Thats just silly now...just silly stop it. I think we need to start the Arthur Daley Sucker Award for the Most Ridiculous Asking Price for a Not in a millions years is it worth anything Trade.

Its almost as silly as kidnapping 5 year olds in the 2nd most lawless place on the planet and then asking for the Ranson to be handed over in front of a million Gendarmes in the centre of Paris carrying a Placard staying....Over Here I Am the Kidnapper. Man these people are really dumb.

Why so much hate for AmigaKit.com?  I've had nothing but great experiences with them in the past few years!  I think they are a great company!
Amiga - The fun computer!

Amiga 500 - 3MB, A590, 250MB HD, SupraTurbo28.
Amiga 1200HD - 32MB, 4GB CF-Card, GVP 68030-40Mhz.

Not sure I have seen many A1200HD/40s on my travels... More rare I would think than an Amiga 1200 with a 68040 accelerator card. Can't recall how much I paid for mine but I had been looking for ages, and really needed them. Saying that, from checking the info on the auction, doesn`t look much like a collector frenzy. More like a hook, line and copy of the Angling Times.... kind of activity.

Images of my 040's. Plus the card they both came with, and the sexy cover.

So what is Aus dollar to pound, like 10 dollars to the pound.
