All time best was very recent - An A2000 with PP&S 040, DKB SCSI card, C= SD/FF,  17Mb ram total, with 3.1 on board = $0.00   This one was very well timed! Saved my sanity (I think  :) )

Next best was a perfect A1000, With 2 Microbotics Starboard 2 - one with SCSI plus all the early programming software. Came from an early developer = $0.00

I have given away good Amiga systems to deserving homes over the years too. So, I guess it comes back to you at times...
A2000 GVP 40MHz \'030, 21Mb RAM SD/FF, 2 floppies, internal CD-ROM drive, micromys v3 w/laser mouse
A1000 Microbotics Starboard II w/2Mb 1080, & external floppy (AIRdrive)
C-128 w/1571, 1750, & Final Cartridge III+

A2000HD w/ mouse, keyboard, 28mhz 68000 accelerator that plugged into the fast slot, A2091 w/ 40mb HD, KS/OS1.3 and 4MB RAM - free + the cost of shipping.

A2500 w/ GVP 030 combo card w/ 1mb 32-bit RAM, 6mb on a Zorro II card, 50MB HD, KS/OS2.1 - free + the cost of shipping.

A1084s (samsung) & A1200 w/ external HD, KS/OS3.0, 4MB RAM and 68881 - free had a buddy drop it off

(2) A1200's, one with a 40mhz 030, 32MB RAM and KS/OS3.1 - $80 shipped

A1084s (philips) partially working A500 with KS/OS1.3, 1mb RAM - free local pickup from a member here!

Large box of AmigaWorlds (including the premiere issue), some Amazing Computing and a small lot of boxed software - free local pickup

A2000 w/ GVP 040 Combo, 64mb RAM, large external SCSI box w/ CD-ROM and Bernouli cartridge setup, boxes and boxes of software, AMAX hardware, scanners, digitizers, books, mags - A1000 512kb system complete in the box - all free from a semi local pickup!

(2) A3000's that I was able to make one real nice system from (the one in my sig) for $80 shipped. Case was too far damaged on one of the systems (someone had cut the bezel all up trying to mod a different drive into her) to keep whole, so I'll just keep the mobo, power supply, etc. for spares I guess.

...I think that's it for the real "bargains" throughout the years. Most all of these came from the very late 90's up until about 2006.

A few years ago I bought a complete AmigaONE XE G4 system for £300 from a local guy and put it on Ebay where it fetched over £1000.

Got one A1200 with B1230IV and FPU for free last summer. Traded an A1200 with MBX1230 (in pretty bad condition but working) for an A4000/030 in a Towerhawk with 7 slot Z3 busboard.

A double garage full of Amiga kit including Amiga 4000s, Checkmate, Toaster.... All for absolutely nothing. Also an Amiga 1500 mint in original box for nothing. Three Amiga 2000s for nothing... A loft full of Amigas for £41. An Amiga 3000T for £100. SX32 Pro for nothing. Towered Amiga 4000 for nothing... Towered Amiga 1200 with Apollo 60... you guessed it.. for nothing.

Cus of the collection I get offered stuff all the time just so kit finds a good home. I generally post these days declining stuff cus I can`t store anymore and post my circle of Amiga friends with the details to help.

One trick was to always collect stuff off say Ebay cus you can often get more for your money. I have come home with a car full of stuff for the cost of a mosdest computer. The best was an A1500 cus as I was leaving after collecting the guy asked me if I collected towered Amigas.. He then produced an A3000T that he didn`t want anymore. Strange though, cus the one thing he wouldn`t part with was his GVP sidecar for his Amiga 500... I have never rushed to a cash machine so quick in my life.

Best deal I ever had was 3 4000T's (YES, real 4000T's) for $750.00 all worked and were in good shape other than one missing the door. One system had a CS MKIII 060 in it and the other two were stock.

I did eventually sell all 3 on here to various members with different add-ons purchased seperately.

It was me you bought the A3000T off.  I didn't intend to part with it but I felt under pressure from the girlfriend etc. etc.  I had a feeling it would be safe with you so I let it go.
Hope it's still going strong?

btw I did part with the GVP sidecar in the end, just some time later :)

My A1200 came from eBay for a mere £33, and from someone local -- I walked to collect it.
I've had plenty of 'reasonable' priced purchases from Amibay, including a Zorro network card for £25 and a Zorro graphics card for £35. I also have a Zorro USB card on its way to me for £50-odd.

The best is yet to come though. A friend has offered me his old A500 since he no longer wants it. He says it's also got a "GVP A530" with it :D

Oh, you lucky, lucky fellow!  I've seen A530s go for $400+ on ebay.

My best deal was an A2000 with Video Toaster, DPS PAR, Trumpcard Pro with a little RAM + a SCSI Drive, and a CSA 4/40 Magnum.  $50 on Ebay Buy It Now.  It wouldn't boot, so I sold all the innards for over $500 total.  Once all the cards were out and gone, I finally got a Boot ROM Anim.  :D
