    Hyperion Entertainment CVBA and A-EON Technology CVBA announce strategic partnership

  Hyperion Entertainment and A-EON have entered into a strategic partnership to provide the Amiga community with a dedicated high-end PowerPC based platform for AmigaOS 4.x which aspires to be a worthy of the Amiga hardware tradition going back to the original Amiga 1000 from Commodore.

Nothing new here. When will they announce complete specs, actual pricing, and show off the whole system? They're burning momentum by the day, and this doesn't recapture it.

Does it have a Paula chip?  How about a SuperPaula?
Wanna try a wonderfull strategy game with lots of handdrawn anims,
Magic Spells and Monsters, Incredible playability and lastability,
English speech, etc. Total Chaos AGA

Isn't that bit pretty much an oxymoron these days?:laughing: I'm sure it will have a high end price, at least.

Well, obviously they mean high-end compared to 603/604/440 etc. It would presumably have to be a better performer than a 1GHz+ 745x too to be considered high-end in terms of PPC amigas too.

I thought the last new Amiga was released about a year ago.
My Amigas: A500, Mac Mini and PowerBook

That depends on what you actually call an "Amiga".

For me, the last Amiga released was the A4000T, the others are simply spin-off solutions and marketing BS.
Others believe that the SAM and that this forthcoming X-1000 are Amigas too.

I fail to see their point. But then the choice is yours, and you may happily disagree.

It's not an Amiga, it's a AmigaOne.  That is what Hyperion has access to name systems, "AmigaOne."
