FS: Amiga 1000, C64 (Morenci, MI)
« on: February 11, 2010, 04:31:55 PM »
UPDATE:  The C64 package, 1080 monitor and external drive have sold.  Is anyone interested in the A1000 with remaining accessories for $40 + shipping?

Finishing up cleaning up my closets, and I have just a few more items for sale:

1.  Amiga 1000 package
  • computer has 512KB RAM, mouse, keyboard, some yellowing (see pic)
  • Amiga 1080 monitor, great picture
  • Amiga 1010 external disk drive
  • Accessories
    • Amiga Basic, Textcraft and Graphicraft with manuals
    • Commodore 23->15 pin video adapter
    • Amiga 1000 serial and printer cables
    • Parnet cable (not A1000 specific)
    • Future Sound digitizer
    • Epyx 500XJ joystick
    • Stack of assorted software
    • Original boxes for the computer, disk drive and RAM expansion

The main problem is that I can't find a Kickstart disk for the computer anymore, and I don't have any more classic systems to build one with.  You can see from the picture that it comes up to the Kickstart screen, and when you insert a disk, it does try to load it.  Also, at some point in its life, it was modified with a small slot cut above the expansion port.  My best guess is that it was used for an external hard drive (AdIDE?).  I'm asking $70 + shipping

2.  Commodore 64 package

  • Computer is in excellent shape
  • 1541 disk drive is in excellent shape, too
  • Accessories
    • Original box for the 64
    • Sorry, only have the original bottom foam for the drive
    • Original manual and warranty cards
    • TV switch
    • Original disk drive shipping blank
    • Rat Race cartridge
    • Epyx 500XJ joystick

The 64 looks like it was hardly ever used.  I can't fully test the drive, though.  I don't have a single 5 1/4" disk to test with!  It tries to read when I do a LOAD command, but I can't make any promises about the head alignment.  I'm asking $45 + shipping.

Any questions, feel free to ask!

Great buys! PM sent for the A1000 monitor and drive as I do not need the system. A lot of people want to keep things as a "package", but the chances of selling might be higher if you allow it to be split up somewhat...

You're welcome :D
It looks like USPS have killed the surface shipping service, so this might not be viable for shipping to the UK.

Anyone know any good (cheap) courier options? :D

@Chiark, not trying to blow a deal for anyone, but you do realize that an NTSC A1000 does not play friendly with PAL gear and vice versa, right? Agnus and the rest of the architecture does not switch between television standards like ALL of the other Amiga models capable of (with the right Agnus). Figured you might be purchasing for collectors sake, but....

Thanks for your concern, but I know exactly what an NTSC Amiga will do :) - I had one before, but rather stupidly sold it.  :hit head on wall: ;)

I'd be more concerned about the postage costs to the UK than PAL/NTSC issues.  Cost me about $100 to ship an Apple IIe over that way.

Yeah, it's a little sad to see it all go, but I really have to cut back on the stuff that's spilling out of my closets.  If you look at the first post, I updated it for the remaining items.  Thanks save2600 and Dragster!

Shipping to the UK is looking to be about $80-90, which is more than I can justify unfortunately :(

Someone local please buy this before I raid my piggy bank!
