Mediator/Voodoo 3 issues
« on: November 15, 2003, 04:05:54 PM »
Not that I have any real problems with my system, but I could use some help.

When I set up my Mediator on the A3000 I used all the default setting to get the voodoo 3 working. I heard this isnt ideal, but can never figure out hoe to get better ranges of display modes set up in P96. Every time I fool with it I get freq out of range on my monitor. As I now I have a great looking 800 x 600 display and a slight flicker in 1024 x 768. Its because the vertical frew is only 62HZ I am sure.

Here is what I need. Can anyone using a voodoo 3 and mediator send me the files for the settings so I can try to use them and see if it helps any? PM me for info to send them.

Yes I know, but thats the problem. I havent been able to ind any information on this monitor at all on the net, and I have looked all over the place too. Its a DigiView HR-55 15" monitor. The problem is DigiView is no longer in business as far as I can tell.

Your monitor is only 50 Khz so your settings are
all correct and maxed out.

If you want better then you need a better monitor.

800x600 75 Hz requires 46.9 Khz

If I were you I would only use that monitor in 800x600
mode.

P.S. Congrats on the new Governator  :-D

So I assume when I run the install P96 setup and it asks for my monitors max rate I would enter the closest to 50 it offers correct? If so then I am set up as best I can get. Thanks
