I am, at this moment using my trusty 3000 (picasso 2) on my Samsung Syncmaster 170MP (17" LCD with tuner), and I have to say that its worked quite well - even in PAL modes.

It doesn't like a few modes, but they are all "strange"  - caused when I look at an odd sized picture with VT - I know there is better software, but it works for the most part. ;-)

Otherwise, its been fine.  It handles my 724x482 wb fine,  and all other modes that I use (mostly 800x600).

My wife's 3000 has a Spectrum card on her 170MP, and she doesn't have any problems either.

Unless I'm mistaken there is no pivot graphics driver available for LCD panels that rotate 90 degrees..

You haven't lived until you've edited a full page document on one of these..  great for code editing too.

can somebody with the know how please make one?

Maybe everyone already has tried this and maybe even think it's a silly solution, but...

I've tried my Composite to VGA converter (used for my Dreamcast) on my Amiga and it works great. Sure, it's a poor man's graphics solution, but it allows anyone with an Amiga to use the standard 15KHz resolutions on their nice 19inch SVGA monitor!  :-D

You can get these things on eBay for $15 usually. And no, unlike redrumloa I don't have one for sale! lol
If I have military spec stuff listed on eBay, you can find it here  :-)

Damn, I never even considered trying something like that.  How well does it work?  I guess it's fine for playing games, but will it produce a good enough picture to use something like a word processor without getting a headache after 20 minutes?  What does the picture look like if you set the Amiga for an interlaced mode?

Thanks.
