What is the best Amiga forum apart from this site??

Never really frequented EAB or Amigaworld before...

This place is doing my head in though.  Cant hack the Nazi-style moderation any longer.

Jesus, this post will probably get deleted for even daring to mention the competition.

@tension

You're having a laugh, right? The "competition" are all listed in the link section already: see here.

You're seemingly peeved because you've had a post edited or removed. This is a "family friendly" site and there are rules about the use of bad language, personal attacks and the like. Don't go round calling people "c***s" and you should be fine.

This site used to be my favorite, but has slipped recently several spots down my list for exactly the reason stated.  "Nazi-style moderation".  EAB has risen to the top for me.  It is a little bit more gaming oriented than I am but it covers my areas of interest also and many of the "movers and shakers" seem to be there more and more.  It is getting to the point here on Amiga.org where many of their more knowledgable members are more of the "has-beens" type who did some neat things 8 or 10 years ago but now only come here for their social fix.  I do not mean that last sentance in a negative way.  One of my biggest problems with the moderation, is that they act on complaints when there are no complaints,  they make the complaints themselves.  They don't have to do the thinking for Amiga Inc.  If Amiga Inc. sees something they don't like or object to they are perfectly capable of complaining themselves without the moderators doing it for them.  It's kind of like the police coming around and arresting a local Bar Band because they played "Let It Be" and Paul McCartney might not like it.  If it was something of a magnitude that Paul didn't like, HE would let them know.

I think you're probably just a flamer or an 0teen... messages like that should never be written.

You want to get away? Just go and don't mess around. Just another lame attempt to say "hey I'm goin away, try to stop me!"

I don't give a damn what boards you do or don't use, but you don't even have the faintest idea what "Nazi" means if you're using in context to describe how the owners of a message board have a set direction they want those boards to go in.

@ dannyp1, Come on now... it's not that bad, just calm it. If you don't like the atmosphere here then just go and post elsewhere, no need to tell people how much this place sucks in your opinion.
People can make that judgement for themselves.

Excuse me for having an opinion.  I was polite and didn't swear or do any name-calling and still I'm told to go elsewhere because my opinion is different from somebody elses.

That'll only demonstrate how rigidly nazi-moderated the site is. If people want to moan about such stuff that's fine, as long as the moaning itself doesn't actually break any of the rules they are already moaning about

I never said you swore, I do agree that this site isn't what I remember it from 2006 when I first joined but I still find it a useful resource for info and goods.

That's my two pence.

I'm actually a bit curious, perhaps the complainants can explain.

In what sense is the moderation "nazi stype" ?

I've probably seen more of Hailley's comet than I have moderation occurences here.

How about some specific examples of why you feel this way?  We can't agree or disagree with you unless we have some examples ...
