Amiga 4000 dughterboard problem?
« on: February 02, 2010, 08:27:27 AM »
Hi everybody!
I finished to assemble an Amiga 4000/40, equipped with 16m memory, buster rev 11, no leaking from battery (changed with a new one), hd and floppy. Powered on and works fine but found two problems:
1) No audio. After a little noises no sounds from 4000 connectors..well...
2) I tried to insert my CV643d in a zorro slot and it isn't recognised! Neither in the early-startup nor with cybergraphic tool. Tried even with a scsi card and it's the same.
The daughterboard become little hot (not warm) and so CV3d chips but nothing more.
I purchased the dughterboard on AmyBay from a user that was selling parts of his 4000 and granted working (and really in very good shape!). So... What can it be?!?
Thanks in advance!
All things are doable in a better way, even those well done.
One can figure out the others......

Surely capacitors concerning sound are gone =(. I really don't know if it's the same for daughterboard capacitors or/and any different caps on motherboard.  How to check if it's so?
