Extinct Amiga Software
« on: February 01, 2010, 05:54:18 PM »
Do you know of, or believe you know of, Amiga software titles that have been lost forever -- no longer existing in any working form on this planet?  I'm becoming convinced that Absoft AC Fortran is such a title.  No doubt, there are a number of others?   (I have been looking for a copy of AC Fortran for years, BTW.)

Lots of ppl have AC Fortran.  Such as myself :)

All the software I ever wrote for C64 is probably lost and gone forever :(

The first few versions of Total Chaos OCS for the Amiga are probably lost and gone forever.

There is 1 specific version of BASIC for Amiga that seems to be lost and gone forever.

I've actually used AC Fortran in 4 flavours. Amiga, Mac, MS Windows and Linux, the Mac version is especially good.  The Amiga version of Absoft AC Fortran is like the Amiga version of Lightwave, usable, but missing a whole lot of good stuff....

Putty Squad was finished but never released. I pre-ordered and never got it. Such a shame as it was an awesome game. I wish one of the old mags had leaked a copy as it's probably lost forever now :(

Some of those compilation games disks. Like the one that had the cat vs mouse game. There was another one where you had to draw lines to trap a ball (the game was german).
Wasn't there a classic destroyer vs sub game for Amiga too.

I can't remember the name exactly but it was made by an American company... It might have been F-Basic.

I think that game is called "BallyV" and I'm pretty sure I have a copy of it on one of my old disks.  I used to play it all the time.

The last incarnation of DaggeX was lost, sources and all, in an, at the time, infamous disk crash :)

@ motorollin:
Actually you can find an Amiga Power Magazine demo version here:

http://agtw.abime.net/games/view/puttysquad

Yes, I know is a little satisfaction but....
Read the interview, really interesting.
All things are doable in a better way, even those well done.
