HP 98A Laser Cartridge
« on: January 26, 2010, 03:42:59 AM »
Any one need a brand new 92298A (98A) toner cartridge for most HP 4, 4M, 5 & 5M Laser Jet printers?
I just realized I have one - brand new, in an unopened box.
I already put it in eBay - but with a starting price of only $25.00 w/ $9.20 shipping.
Let me know, & I'll post the link...

How about the printer? I don't remember how much memory is in it, but has a rather pricey network card in it.
Prints fine, but needs cleaning - tends to experience paper jams every second or third sheet.
It weighs a TON - might want to pick this one up (Washington D.C., Baltimore MD area)

It's a real HP 4M, in great shape (with the exception of the paper dust problem).

Man am I glad no one took me up on this one. Turns out these monsters aren't that hard to clean. I even found "paper jam kit" for $23.00 with new rollers and other assorted parts (haven't bought it yet).
This had been upgraded with the TCP/IP network card (rj45 port) and has 18Mb of RAM installed (I admit I don't know what it's supposed to have).
With its 600x600 output, I guess I'll keep this puppy. It is working like new now.

I got a couple of big HP lasers for free a while back, one color and one black and white.  The little I print, I don't think I'll be needing another printer for a very long time.  Laser beats inkjet at being able to sit unused for months at a time.

I have to print a lot, and my grandchildren use my computer/printer for their school work too. I have met people that don't own a printer! they use E-Mail totally.
How would I use my "Great American Paper Airplane Kit" without a printer:)
So much for the "Paperless revolution".
