FS: Complete CDTV system, boxed (NTSC)
« on: January 22, 2010, 11:23:53 PM »
This is a fairly complete CDTV, includes:

CDTV Console
Keyboard (all black)
CDTV black floppy drive
CDTV mouse
Remote
CDTV Genlock
Original box (small tear/hole in one side)

Everything is in good condition.

$200 plus shipping, this one is heavy though so foreign buyers might not be interested.

Nice job on taking care of the system. I had the keyboard and black mouse purchased from the grapevine group. It's actually a nice CD player, love the Jim Sachs interface for the CD player .. so perfectly  90's.

This one is on hold until I determine why the mouse won't left click (noticed it in testing a couple of weeks ago.)  Probably just a mouse button, but I haven't had a chance to check for sure.

If it's the mouse, maybe I can get it off ebay...

Please let me know when you find out.

Cheers,

Always wanted one of those to play with... someone will enjoy that.  Speaking of 90s hardware - anyone here ever get the Pioneer LaserDisc player that had a Sega Genesis Built in?  I saw one on display (or was it a promo display?) at a Montgomery Ward a long time ago!  Something else really early 90s - Laserdisc!  Update: just found this on wiki - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pioneer_LaserActive  Would love to get my hands on one of those!

Hi

Of no real relevance but I was given two boxed CD32's today by a collector. Great bit of kit really.

I picked up the Laseractive about 4-5 years ago since I am a big fan of anything SEGA and all components in my HT are Pioneer, so it was a bit retro. The sega module works perfect (converts the sound to SPD/IF out, probably the best the genesis ever sounded!) and will also play SEGA CD's.

I don't have any Laseractive game disks, they are quite expensive on ebay since they were so rare to begin with. From what I understand, the price of the laserdisc player and the sega module were extremely expensive at the time, it's no wonder it didn't take off.

If that is the direct-plugin CDTV mouse, mine has always been flaky from new. I've been going to do the hardware mod to use a regular Amiga mouse for some time now ... (plus they are a lot easier to find replacements for)
