The image of Bad Guys from early film are rooted in Anti Semitism:
Black hair, Big exaggerated nose, twirling his moustache, horns, pointy teeth, tying a hapless victim to a rail road track, the image of the shylock, sheister taking advantage of someones misfortune.

So if we adhere to this image of a villan... then a huge amount of "bad guys" as portrayed in film are Jewish...

That would be most Everyone from Dick Dastardly to Gargamel.

becuase if a big nose, moustache, jet black hair ...that makes someone an evil stereotype, well...I fit that description.

I did. Not having grown up in late twentieth century Iraq myself, I don't presume to know their motivations, beyond their stated interests in computers and Persian art history. Hence, this discussion. ;-)

That's an excellent point, of course, but any modern artist would be mindful of that when choosing how to represent their villains. For example, mine all have Texan accents and beady little eyes. :-P

Well, if we think about what wa have seen before, that evil magician looks more or less the same than other evilish magicians in videogame history, or even the witch from Cauldron... Or if we go to the comics sphere, that magician could be even a relative of Iznogoud...

I don't see any antisemitism there. I think everybody here would be angry or at least really critic if some kind of behaviour like that was shown.

I put a silly photo of myself hunched over the joystick playing Babylonian Twins on my A500 in the Gallery, but I won't post it here. I hope so much that they'll add the option for 2-button control pads so we can have a button for jump! I love platform games that have a bit of an adventure element to them, where you run around and talk to characters learning clues to help you through your quest. Babylonian Twins is going to be awesome, I can't wait!

racial stereotyping is wrong, but my perception is that Jewish people seem to be more sensitive to things that other races might just "let go".  Ofcourse the holocauset has soemthing to do with it, but does that mean we should have a lower censorship threshold if things *could* be interpreted as anti-semitic?

BTW, I was browsing amiga.org yesterday, on the bed with my iPod touch and saw this post.
Decided to buy Worms for U$ 4.99

Hmmmm... Not worth it.
* Some slowdowns (that's not quite a heavy game)
* Bad controls (maybe it's me, but I can play wolfenstein quite well)
...

Falling Gems! (BTW, made by another former Amiga user)

All art, regardless of the medium, is half interpretation. Gifted artists are mindful of that.
