It's a shame, but when there's an open forum like that there's always going to be idiots with nothing better to do. Did you reply? Were they trying to sell you a board for more money or just emailing you to have a go?

I agree about some of the morons on Amibench, though at least most of those annoying prank posts have stopped appearing since Mark has been trying to police it a bit better.
Roll on Amibench 2!

If anyone's interested, I have a number of A3000Ds I would be happy to send to a good home.
I'd like around £35/US$55 or offers, freight extra.

The machines are in good working order, I have reconditioned and tested them.  So have brand new clock batteries, floppy drive overhauled, etc.

They are all fairly standard PAL ECS models.
Have either OS 2.x ROMs or have "softkick" ROMs fitted.
All are 68030 @25MHz with FPU.
2Mb chip mem, 4Mb fast mem.
Most have a small SCSI hard drive, approx 100-200Mb.
Power supply is 230V 50Hz.
Keyboard optional.
No mouse, monitor or power cable.

Yeah, sorry for posting that there, should be in the classifieds or Amibench.
But at least now you know :-)

@amigamad,

WOW!  :-o  That is a very nice Amiga 3000 on ebay you got there. I certainly caught my eye. Very nice.
Cheeky question: If you have given up on your A4000T then can i buy it off you? :-)

@Castellen

Are you trying to tell me that you are selling A3000s for only £35  :-o  How much would posting to England cost!!! :-)

@CU_AMiGA

Yep, the price is low for several reasons.
1. It's more realistic than US$70,000 (you guys see that A1000 on Ebay recently?)
2. They need a lot more money spent on expansions than what the standard A300o is worth.
3. I have a few of them which I would prefer going to good homes rather than hibernating in my workshop for all eternity.
4. International shipping is not cheap.

A few people asked me about the shipping cost, but I'm not sure of the exact weight of an A3k.  Anyone know for sure?
Assuming it's 12kg, the cost of economy freight to the UK is £60!!!!

And before you ask, no, I'm not giving up my A4000T either :-P

@Castellen

Ah! Tha's a shame, delivery cost wise. If i was in New Zealand, i would by it at a drop of a hat. But sadly, that is not the case. :-(
