The only thing I use telnet for now days is for testing (smtp, http etc). A SSH client might have been a more practical application to have released. Not to mention, telnet is usually disabled on servers due to it being a security hole.

I wonder how many sales they will get.

I've found a use for Telnet... My File Server uses a telnet port for basic functions. Don't think I would need to do this from a friggin cell-phone, though. (telser.device + term works fine, assuming the HTML logs don't cover what I need to know, which all work fine in Ibrowse.)

Actually, using telnet on a CE device for things like checking routers/switches comes in pretty handy, and there are several telnet clients available for differentl mobile devices.
The harder part is getting a mobile device with a true serial port anymore..

It's not "by" Amiga inc tho.  It's "by" Ruksun software.

Not sure why a Windows CE product is for sale on Amiga Inc, but..

This is probably the least useless thing they're selling right now.

But can I telnet into Snowman Maker for remote access? :)
