If there are limits to how big  your hard-drive can be with earlier Workbench revisions (2.1 for example)...  what does this mean?

a) if the limit is 1 gig, a 1.2 gig drive will not work AT ALL

or

b) if the limit is 1 gig, a 1.2+ gig drive will only be used to 1 GIG CAPACITY

?

A500, A600, A1200x3, A2000, A3000, A4000 & a CD32.
and probably just like the rest of you, crates full of related "treasure" for the above XD

How older? Prior to 3.5 or to 3.0 ?

I had the Seagate ST32122A 2.1GB on my AMiGA with 3.0 and 3.1 WB, without encountering any problems.

Both a and b are correct.

For example, on WB3:

If you partition only the first 4GB of a HD with 2.1GB partitions or less on plain OS3.1 or less, things will work and the rest of the drive will go to waste.

Then again, if you try to partition the whole drive with bigger partitions, your system will become very badly screwed up.

I would say it would be the same principle for WB2.
