Karlos wants the thread to grow as long as over at aw.net ;-)

No objections btw.

OS4 on A-eon with Timberwolf... I'm excited :-P

Yeah, I haven`t been this excited since the Mediator was unveiled.

Sure, I made a bit of a tabloid statement. But really, £500 is a lot, but not painfull. Every £50 over £500 gets harder and harder...

It says on the board:
"AmigaOne Powe..."

I bet it finishes of as "red", making it "AmigaOne Powered"

You've lost, it's "AmigaOne Power X". ;)

Especially considering that'll likely be the price for motherboard alone.

Pfft!!

@Zac67

Has it been confirmed, or is it your bet? Just want to know, I'm hungry for A-EON news :-)

@Tension
Thats a problem for new Amiga A-EON users. Most of us have gear we can pillage and build a new system from old parts and a new motherboard.

A new board that has the capability of running all the new goodies we  are used to like wireless and hd video yet can run all those old programs we love  would just be awesome.I think it can be done with a 1.5GHz PPC,didn't Apple do so?
Here's hoping it is affordable for the average  Amigan with family or college  to pay for as well.
 Now ill this negatively impact ACube or do we  think this will turn out to be a joint effort of Hyperion and ACube ?

 It has been said that anticipation makes consumation all the sweeter.

@arnljot

Take a look at the pic VingtTrois linked in on the first page. The far corner has some printing.

I've just moved 60-odd posts from the Timberwolf thread here. As well as running concurrently with this thread, some of them were posted earlier than the post that opened this thread so don't be alarmed if a few seem to be a bit "out of place".

:lol: That's not likely, I guess, but it's fair to say it has stimulated the forum a bit :)

Actually I hate X. I also hate Q. They do not represent any speech sounds in English which cannot more accurately be represented with other letters.

Pah, you'll be spelling colour without the 'u' next... Also, I think the above statement is incorrect. For instance, 'Q' cannot be more accurately represented as 'kw' since by definition it is one letter assigned to specifically represent that sound rather than using two other letters to do so. Maybe your objection should be that they may be represented using compounds of other letters and are therefore redundant :)

No, 'u' has a purpose in words like 'colour'.

Maybe the whole X thing stands for the CPU... MAybe tehy're using the same CPU Xenon from the XBOX or somekind of derivatie. THE XBOX CPU It's a Modified PowerPC that has gone through some cost reduction revisions. The Big area for a heatsink fan would make sense... just my speculation.
