Amiga CD made with MakeCD not showing data on PC
« on: January 02, 2010, 12:59:28 AM »
So after digging out my miggy A4000T and getting it all fixed up again, I tried to burn a CD to get some old .jpgs and documents off the miggy and onto my PC.  I was finally able to figure out how to make the CD with MakeCD on the miggy but when I put the CD in the PC it shows there is no data on it.  The CD was finalized after the burn.  There is an obvious track burnt onto the CD and the miggy can read the data.  I tried to use the show all files on the PC but there is nothing there.  I show 0 bytes of data on the CD property window.  I tried to burn to the CD with the PC to make sure it was finalized and it was.  Any ideas on what I did wrong?  Thanks.

Ok, so I figured it out.  I needed to set the mode to expert and then make changes from the default cd settings.

Too often, we lose sight of life’s simply pleasures. Remember, When someone annoys you it takes 42 muscles to frown, BUT it only takes 4 to extend your arm and bitch slap that mother *’##@*&% upside the head .

Yeah, I read those and they were not helpful in my situation.  I have a new problem now that I am trying to work through.  I am trying to burn a disc with burn direct to writer and using disc at once.  It says it is reaching the end of the disc after less than 15% on a new disc.  I tried a couple combinations of settings.  Going to have to dig out the manual on this CD burner and see what it supports as it is kind of old.
