Heh! Having been in a few of those conversations, the cartoonist should have bumped up the calendar a couple of months each time. ;-)

:biglaugh: Makes me remember those days when we had to reenter our test station's bootstrap with digital switches.... Half a day for some 400 bytes back in 1988.

I can remember using the memory test panel to write a jump to the system dump routine on the mainframe back in the 70's... didn't have to carve the bits out of wood though. ;-)
