Blizzard 1260 ?
« on: November 28, 2009, 05:25:41 PM »
Just got the A1200 out to run it up and charge the Blizzard battery, and the
HDD has given up after only 8/9 years, so its time to sell of the Blizzard 1260
faze 5, with SCSI board and 24 meg of ram (16 + 8). Now anybody got any
idea what this should make on EBay as i have not seen one for sale in a long
time, had it from new and it cost best part of £700 if i remember right and
just never got used much.

Sanity and Ebay have nothing in common, so don't try. 8) Prices fluctuate to such extremes, that guessing is impossible.

You'll get a few hundred for a working 1260 accelerator. Maybe even 4 or 5 hundred.. maybe.

Amiga 3000D & 4000D in storage sadly.

Thanks for the reply, just found a 2.5 HDD in my tat box that will fit 160mb,
just cannot remember anything about setting up a new HDD from scratch, and if i remember getting it to see the 1260 as a 1260 and not a 1240 was a pain in the butt, I have a backup on VHS tape using the VBS software just need a VHS video to install the system again, and get the VBS system out of the loft, think I'll give it a whirl this weekend and have some fun again.

          Thanks

Look in the tutorial section of A.org, and you'll find instructions for installing Workbench on the 1200. 060 accelerators usually come with floppy disks that install the proper library in the proper place.

If you have the 3.9 or 3.5 CD, its very easy to make an emergency disk and use that to install workbench.
