Infinitiv keyboard
« on: November 18, 2009, 10:45:47 PM »
Can you tell me what connector does the Infinitiv keyboard has? Is it possible to connect it to A4000D?
On a related note - what is my best option in equipping my A4000D with a keyboard?
a) get an original A4000D keyboard
b) get A2000/3000 keyboard and adapter (cheaper and/or easier to find than the above or the opposite ?)
c) get Lyra 2 and PC keyboard
d) somehow connect the Infinitiv keyboard (if it is even possible)

Thanks for your advice!

The A2000 keyboard is lovely to use, if you can use one on a 4000 with adaptor try it and see :)

The Micronik Infinitiv keyboard is an A1200 keyboard in a case with a bit of hardware which translated the A1200 keyboard to PS2 (but doesn't allow multiple keypresses; it's rubbish for games).

I'd say get an A4000 keyboard if you can get one for a fair price.

Get the A4k keyboard.  An A4kT keyboard wont fit.

UPDATE:  Here`s a link to an adaptor that`ll convert A2000 keyboard to A4000 socket http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AMIGA-4000-KEYBOARD-ADAPTOR-5-6-DIN-PINS_W0QQitemZ220482192906QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3355c3460a
