back to Amiga :)
« on: November 16, 2009, 02:35:19 PM »
Yay, I'm back in the game! I've just bought an A4000 and I'm sooo excited to enjoy some good ol' Amiga magic again. I sold my expanded A1200 3 years ago and regretted it many times since, so when I saw an ad for A4000/040, apparently in a top notch condition, I was very happy. The price was very fair + all caps and battery replaced + refurbished snow white case and the guy will deliver it himself on Thursday! Sorry for the enthusiasm, but this is a big deal for me, I mean who else should understand than you, right? :)

PS: on a more practical note - I used to have an A1200 with Blizz 1230IV and was thinking about how it compares to stock A4000/040 in performance. I read that because A3640 doesn't allow Fast RAM expansion, it is slower than a full blown 040 accelerator as it has to rely on the mainboard RAM. Is it still gonna be faster than A1200 with 030/50MHz?
