I have been using Sega Genesis joypads on my Amiga 2-button games for decades.  They work perfectly on all my stacks of 2-button Amiga games.

I bought them at Toys R Us for $6.00 each back around 1993.

The ones I got are not made by Sega.  They say "High Frequency" on them.

No modification needed!
Wanna try a wonderfull strategy game with lots of handdrawn anims,
Magic Spells and Monsters, Incredible playability and lastability,
English speech, etc. Total Chaos AGA

Thanks ChaosLord. I also have been using Sega pads on several Amigas with 2-button games my whole life, and still do, and just tested a Sega Master System 2-button, Sega Mega Drive 3 and 6 button controllers, and as I expected, as always, they worked fine!

And today I realised this Deal Extreme place delivers for free to Australia, so that's a sweet price for a bunch of replacement pads for my Amigas and Segas!

I use a Six Button Megadrive pad and have done for a long time. Very reliable although I did have to clean the Up Button contacts recently. Not sure if I have ever used more than the B button though.

Btw, the DX joypads are crap, but I guess I can't complain at 4.55.

They are so small!!! My hands are tiny, but I still can't hold them for comfortable playing. I guess I'll add them to the lot when I'm selling my extra Megadrive and keep the Sega pad...

Me too think there is something strange going on here...
- But in a positive way :)

The strange thing for me is how can they make money when they have free shipping worldwide on these things... and still sell them this cheap.

Here is what I ordered for only USD21:
2x Additional Gamepad Controller for SKU 28970: Amount:$9.10 USD
USB to RS232 Serial Port Adapter: Amount:$2.99 USD
CompactFlash CF Card to IDE Hard Disk Adapter Card (IDE-40: $2.64 USD
SATA-IDE Bilateral Converter Board: Amount:$6.47 USD
Registered Air Mail: Amount:$0.01 USD

I'm sure that even one of these products ordered from any webshop Norway would cost me more than the total here, and probably add another USD21 just for the domestic postage.

Thaks for providing the link to this page :)

Really?  I'm quite pleased with the two joypads I got.  I think the size is just fine, and my hands are average in size, I suppose.

Well, I guess I overreacted a bit. They are decent for the price, but compared to Megadrive pads...
They really seem small to me - when I hold them with my fingers only, it's ok, but I'm used to holding pads in my palms and that's impossible with these.

What's nice about those pads compared to a Genesis/Mega Drive controller is how much more discreet the directions are. In other words, on a standard 3-button Mega Drive controller, you oft times accidentally 'jump' when you meant to just go right. Sega Master System pads are the worst yet. Horrible design IMHO.

Still don't know why Cammy has good luck playing 2 button games on a Sega pad though without using an adapter or patch somewhere... I've only ever been able to use 1-button (B) on my Miggy's. I think that's what some are saying is "strange"...

I only tried Sega pads on Amiga two days ago for the first time, but I too was also able to use 2 buttons for 2 different actions without any tinkering. Can't remember the game now though...

Their DX logo looks like it was lifted from a Yamaha synthesizer.
