Chat with Jabber?

On jabberwocky i cant chat on the screen with my friends i can only send msgs through it but cant see my friends...If i type in a msg i can see it on the chat screen but if my friend sends me one i get a window up and need to click next,any help?

A bit more info would be nice... like what transport are you refering too... and if you can please be a bit more specific in describing your problem.
I created this a long time ago before the amigaguide existed, its my step by step guide of how to use jabberwocky, might be off some use to you...

If i go to the meno and go down roster and click on chat and the window opens...I type and see my own msg but my friend types and it does not appper there it come in another windwow....

well like I said, you need to be more specigic, Jabberwocky is a multi instant messanger client, each transport behaves differently... but if your not willing to go into more detail and be more specific then your unlikely to find any help.

Well for me that does not make one diffrence what so ever as i send msgs to my aim and msn friends and it does the same......

However I will say this... Have you tried to read the manual? Its often very helpfull... Failing that have you looked at the prefs? See the option "Use msg window for Chat"... maybe, just maybe, if you change that it will work.... 8-)

Well Jabber is all server side... All you have to do is use a jabber server which supports the transports you want... And yes most servers do support the new MSN protocol. You can also find transports for yahoo, AIM, ICQ and IRC...
