Commodore Gaming PC cases for sale!
« on: November 08, 2009, 09:53:36 PM »
Yes, the very same cases used by Commodore Gaming for their high-end gaming PCs.

Better used, in my opinion, for a Commodore/Amiga related project (my AmigaOne is in one and it's loving it.)

These are brand new, unusued, and still in the original plastic. (original Commodore boxes, too!)

Basics are: 4 5.25" drive bays and 2 3.5" drive bays (external access, and one has a USB/Firewire/Audio in/out panel,) 4 internal 3.5" bays, and the cases will take a standard ATX motherboard and power supply.

Fun part: two lighted fans, one large on the side and one smaller in the front of the case.  The lights are controllable via buttons on the front of the case (change the colors, or set them to cycle or even turn the lights off.)  With this fan setup, it stays quite cool in the case.  Also, the cases are lined with foam for noise reduction.  (I bet the front lights would look great in red with a white boing ball overlay applied...)

Price is $60USD plus shipping each, worldwide shipping available, don't want anyone to miss out.

Here are some pics:

..and there's also a video of the colors of the lights, demonstrating cycle mode: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBmfF7iu238

Definitely a fun case, for Commodore/Amiga use or otherwise.

If you're interested or have any questions, feel free to PM or post.

Thanks!

Wow, those are so cool! I didn't even know they existed. I'd definitely want one if I had or was building an OS4.x system. Can't believe all the little extras they put into that... even the feet are C=  lol!

And is that a FireWire port in the front? Interesting...

Correct, it's basically a PC case.  Any ATX sized board should fit in and work nicely.

Will an A4000 motherboard bolt right into this or are the screw holes in different places?

*takes a deep breath*

Shipping to the UK appears to be $95USD for one tower.

Denmark shipping seems to be the same as UK shipping.

An A4000 motherboard most likely wouldn't have holes in the ATX positions, but if you're handy with a drill you could add a few more holes to the case where you need them.  Definitely a bit of a project, and one I'd try myself if I had a 4000 with a bad case lying around.

@Tone007, would a courier rather than US Postal Service be cheaper to europe?

It doesn't appear so.  If you have any leads on a good courier from the US to Europe, please let me know.

edit: seriously, the rates I'm seeing on the couriers here, it'd be cheaper for me to get on a plane and hand deliver them.

Shipping to the UK appears to be $90USD for one tower, or $150USD for two.  I'd have to double check these prices at the post office, however, as the size may or may not be an issue.

Denmark shipping seems to be the same as UK shipping, again, pending verification at the post office.

I'd like to reserve a case if possible. Can you accept paypal?

Case reserved, PayPal is fine.

If you PM me your address, I can verify the shipping costs tomorrow.  Crossing my fingers their website is accurate.
