Floppy drive startup
« on: November 06, 2009, 11:29:24 PM »
Can someone please tell me why it takes about 25 seconds after I turn on my A1200 for my floppy drive to start moving?  It is really annoying.  Thanks

If you mean the delay between the initial power up and the "insert disk" animation, its because your A1200 is checking/waiting for a hard disk on the built in IDE port. If you have a hard disk installed it boots up straight away, much like the older A500/A600 models do.

Hope this helps :)

Kickstart normal behaviour.
Goodbye people.

I\'ll pop on from time to time, RL is acting up.
