Whilst it may admirable to offer your items at special rates to "true" Amiga fans,I think you may be cheating yourself.
The money of an ebay buyer is just as good and why is he any less likely to use the item?If you realize more from your old kit then you are better able to buy something new, like a SAMflex! There are several ebayers who fish sites like this and also buy complete sets from other ,naive, ebay sellers in order to break those sets into components and sell for the maximum money.I think you and I both regret such practices but they are legal and a factor to keep in mind. The same types infest the amateur radio swap meets. And probably dismantle wonderful classic automobiles as well.
Quite simply, many more people are aware of ebay than have an inkling such sites as Amiga.org or Amigaworld.net even exist.A shocking number of persons don't know how to use the search function of their web browser.(I've met them;I've worked with well-paid ,hard-working men who stopped by my desk twice a year so that I might set their watches to the correct hour at the daylight saving changes.)
