Powering an A1200 motherboard in D-Box Tower
« on: November 05, 2009, 10:49:08 PM »
Hi,

I am thinking of getting a D-Box Tower (which comes with an ATX) PSU. At first I will not purchase a mediator, so the question is... how will I connect the PSU to the motherboard?

Is this what I need:

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure it comes with an adapter to use the atx psu. At least all the other tower solutions I've come across have.

I was looking at the mounting instructions on Elbox's D-Box site and it assumes that you have a mediator :(

£34 just for a power adapter , Thats a bit steep isn't it  ? .

It's an Elbox product (correct me if I'm wrong)...need I say more?

(I actually own one. Did I really spend that much on it?  It does work well though)

the EZ Z4 tower is a lot cheaper than the D Box but serves the same purpose. You however will still need the power adapter but I note on Amigakit's website that the adapter is discounted if you buy it with a Tower. The EZ Z4 is also ideal for a Mediator board.
