My amiga auctions
« on: November 01, 2009, 08:02:41 PM »
Financial pressures mean i've finally got around to breaking up and auctioning off the rest of my Amiga 4000:

Amiga 4000 EC/030 system
E/Box 4000 Tower + Mediator 4000 + Voodoo 3 + Network card
FastATA 4000 Zorro III IDE card
Repulse soundcard

It's a shame the shipping costs for the E/Box is so high to outside UK... I wouldn't mind getting an A4000/Mediator setup again, and since I need a tower and Mediator, this would be ideal. Maybe I should bid anyway....

@Xeron

Have you tried someone like Interparcel?  I find them quite reasonable.

Bummer; it's a tad on the high side, so I hope I can get it at a bargain price. I just went to the side Ruud recommends. 26 UKP for a 8 kg package in 1 x 0,4 x 0,3 m delivered to my country. Any possiblity you can use them, as I have no need for Express delivery.

Just for general information: I use Interparcel frequently and they use well known couriers like UPS, DHL etc. to actually pick up and deliver the goods.

Yes, thats me.

BTW, I'm not leaving the Amiga. I still have my AmigaOne XE, an A1200/060, an A2000/030, an A600 and an A500+.

I'll probably sell all but the A1 soon, though. I just don't use the classic stuff any more.

You'll probably regret that, you know. Don't underestimate the power of sentimentalism.

The only classic Amiga from my collection with real sentiment attached to it was the 4000. The rest have been collecting dust in the loft anyway.

Just to help any buyers interested, I recently bought an Elbox 4000 Tower with the Mediator and it was extremely easy to transfer the A4000 mobo from the desktop case over and install the new Zorro/PCI card.

I also have the FastATA 4000 card and it works like a dream.  I have two 80GB hard drives connected to it using 4 x 40GB partitions (one is my System & Data drive while the other is a straight backup drive where I copy snapshots of the first drive too).
A2000, A3000, 2 x A1200T, A1200, A4000Tower & Mediator, CD32, VIC-20, C64, C128, C128D, PET 8032, Minimig & ARM, C-One, FPGA Arcade... and AmigaOne X1000.
