Non linear video editor software on mac emultion possible?
« on: October 29, 2009, 02:10:02 AM »
Has anyone ever tryed using under macintosh emulation to run NLE mac 68k software such as:

Avid Videoshop 3
Adobe Premiere 4.2

I was just wondering if it is a solution good enough to edit videos on amigas.
Any advice or experience is welcome.

I ran another mac video editor (can't remember) using Fusion on an A4000 68060 with a CV64 in 1024 x768 16 bit.  i was able to edit using the time line add special effects and output to quicktime.  The software runs as it would on a Mac, but how will you get the video inside the emulation?  I never tried a video capture card, and i would say the emulation will not support a PAR or a vlab motion, MacOS certainly won't.

I was thinking the same thing, the application working wonderfull in editing mode, but having problems to interface hardware to grab video source. Anyway, it is better than nothing, I mean we have native amiga NLE apps but they require expensive or difficult to find hardware to even edit! (eg.:Newtek Flyer, Broadcater Elite, Vlab Motion, PAR+TBCIV) So mac 68k NLE are a parcial solution. Does anyone know of another mac 68k NLE?
