A1000 on San Diego Craigslist
« on: October 20, 2009, 08:58:34 PM »
Its a bit over the top on price for a stock A1000 and monitor but he is will to take offers when I told him in an email to post here and get an idea of what its worth. Its currently listed for $400 and I dont expect it to sell for that any time soon with them going on ebay for 1/4th that. If anyone gets in touch and wants me to go look at it for you, just ask.

For that kind of money, it should include a Rejuvenator board  ;-)

At least it does include a 64 Zettabyte SSD instead of a hard drive. That makes it worth the $400. Only Amiga makes it possible.

Still haven't had a chance to touch any of that stuff... would love to set up some of the 8-bit gear (a few nice computers in the lot!), but between real life and the amigas, there's not much time left.

Hi

I recently moved to San Diego and have been continuously checking Craigslist for ANY early model Amiga, working or not, but have been pretty unsuccessful.

I don't want to buy off of Ebay cause I really want to take a look at it before hand and see it what it can do/ have the ability to bargain. Where do you usually look for Ami's on CL, I would be willing to drive.

Thanks!
that\'s a fancy hat you have there!

I myself run a batch file that searches any craigslist site within a 300 mile radius or so for whatever keyword I enter.  It opens about 25 Firefox tabs full of (hopefully) Amiga stuff.

Generally just going to your main craigslist site and typing "amiga" in the search will search all the for sale areas, and will often search other geographically nearby craigslist sites if it doesn't find many results.

There are also 3rd party sites that let you search all CL locations at the same time.
Can google for them.
