The world wide web? Are you refering to the internet or HTML pages accessed via the HTTP protocole...

i thought the US government/army invented the internet for communication. But im not sure who made the first web page :}

But you can say anyone invented the world wide web, because it only become the www when it was used by many countries... that is... world wide :) if there was only one country in on it at the time, its not world wide :)

Hey, and dont forget us Aussies... we've evented

the meat pie?
the ute!
Aussie rules footy (which was mostly just a rip off of gaelic football and other codes)
fosters :)
and the kangaroo

Of course im kinda joking on some of those! But i wouldnt be surprised if AUstralia per head had more inventors than anyone in the world...

lawn mower
cloths line (hills houst?) i cant spell! - we clearly didnt event the dictionary!

mikeymike, you should put in an AVATAR in which you're smiling! Otherwise, the impression is stern!

I can't see yours smiling! :-)

@ Vincent

Season III???

Man, we JUST got Season I on DVD and I can't even find it here. I had to special order it.

Man, I used to waste HOURS, getting drunk and watching Red Dwarf on Public Access. Red Dwarf was the best thing to come out of England, besides Lush and Altoids!  :-P

Okay, if you say it's coming, it's coming, but sadly, I'm not holding my breath...We don't even have it showing here anymore.

Well, we are ruled by this person:

If that guy was english, his first name would either be Malcolm or Norman.

And if any people here have that name, either you deserve it, or your parents played a cruel trick on you :-D

@ Rodney

Correct me if I'm wrong, but AFAIK, the WWW was invented by Tim Berners-Lee, a British physicist working at CERN.
