@Tumbleweed
There is a lot need to be done on SS for Amikit to work.
(It is a Amiga 4000PPC with CyberStormPPC, PicassoIV Gfx card, Paloma TV Card, Deneb USB card, 80 Giga HDD, a USB @ Ethernet network adapter and of course DVD-RW).
I sitll can not ctach your point of loading it off an SD card / card reader. IS there a way you can boot from the SD card on early-boot menu? That would be cool.
I installed Amikit on my PC plus boing balls plus patches. Then I made an LZX and put all the stuff on an empty partition. Then I brought back some stuff form the original 3.9 install for example the Devs folder -including monitors- and the math libraries. I deleted the uae gfx drivers from the monitors folder. Also Warp3D libraries are UAE versions. You can find the regular versions in Libs:bak drawer and replace them. Also watch out for P96 rtg.library as it's also UAE optimased. Bring all the originals back.
I did some edit on startup sequence and user startup.
Those are some useful steps (source Amikit support forum, they worked for me):
Edit the startup-sequence and disable the boot picture (SYS:Utilities/Expansion/ShowAmiga96/Bin/ShowAmiga96_Rev239C18 line).
Also it might happen that IPrefs crashes during the boot (especially if AfA_OS is disabled). Therefore enable "C:Wait 1" line in front of C:IPrefs command in startup-sequence. Also enable this command in front of "Run >NIL: SYS:Utilities/Expansion/Birdie/Birdie ?
Also enable "BindDrivers" command and disable "C:Picasso96fix" command.
In case of low of memory, decrease "C:StackAttack 32768" command to something like "C:StackAttack 8192". You might want to do the same in DOpus/Environmet preferences.
Also you should edit the paths of some programs on Startup sequence and user startup with the one son the new Amikit partition -I did so-, for example Picasso96. /
Do not forget to install Poseidon as well after your first boot.
If you want to avoid new installs, you can copy the original C,S,Classes,L,Libs and Devs folders from your original 3.9 to your Amikit partition, this will bring back the original libraries and will add the extra installed stuff -for example Poseidon-.
