I got some from PC World ( I just like going there to ask stupid questions to the spotty geeks that work there..honest guv). Have a wonder over to their "Component Center", they`ll be amongst the fan grills and PSUs.

If they don`t have any, have a look in your local Maplins. Whatever you do, don`t try and phone an order in, it`ll take you hours and then they`ll say " Sorry Sir, I can`t find any item matching that code" even thought it`s in their blinkyflipping catalogue.
On schedule, and suing

Cos that would have sounded a bit rude!

@Doobrey

Thanks, i will try that. I have a local PC World, but not a local Maplin. I will look on their web site.

Well i searched my local PC World, Titan Computers and other little shops but couldn't find the ones i want. Not the ones that my Blizzardvision VGA socket and Silbver Surfer socket will fit into! :-(

Anyone on the org have any for spare!?

Are you any good with a Dremel?

Why not make up some custom ones from ordinary blanking plates?

Mmmmm
VGA and 9-pin serial havethe same size, so it should be good
enough if you find one belonging to an old muti-IO-card with
space for 2 9-pin-serial ports.

Got a bunch of them flying around, but I doubt that they would be
worth P&P .....
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

Hello Jagabot!

That's a very generous offer. Thank you. :-)
I am useless a technical stuff. So i will describe them.

I need 2 blanking plates with holes in, at different sizes. The hole on the first blanking plate must be the size of a VGA socket, so the Blizzardvision socket can fit through on and screw in place. The hole in the second blanking plate must be the same size as the Amiga serial cable socket, which is the same size as the Silver Surfer one incidently, this must also screw into place as well. Speaking of would you happen to have 2 screws for the Silver Surfer socket, so it can screw into place.

I hope that you know what i mean, thanks again.

So it is one hole for SUB-D-9 (same as SUB-D15) and one for SUB-D-25.

Or in other words:
1 9-pin serial + 1 25-pin serial or parallel.

Unbelieveable that these shoul be so hard to find  :-o

edit:
took me 15 secs to find one  :-P

Best way:
Search a flea-market orsimilar for an old ISA-IO-card
(or even VESA-local-bus).

These should have 1 parallel, 2 serial and 1 gameport, with either the
2 serial or 1 serial and the gameport connected via ribbon-cable
to a 2nd bracket. Most cards have 1 serial in 25pin and the 2nd in 9 pin,
leading to a situation where either the bracket on the card or the 2nd
one would fit your needs (allways the one without the gameport).
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it

But i only need the blanking plates. I don't really want to be lumbered with a graphics card or something. Plus it is more money that i am already paying.

I assume you mean the screws that allow your monitor cable etc to screw into them? Sure, no problem I have the exact plate you want, and I'll toss a couple of the screws in (or do you need all 4?). Where does this thing go (ie: your shipping address)  :)

@jagabot

Yes! That is exactly what i need! Well done! As for the screws i was meaning the 2 for the Silver Surfer Serial socket, as i already have screws for the Blizzardvision VGA socket. But that doesn't matter, you can send me all 4 of the screws, just incase it doesn't go according to plan. I will PMail/ email you my address. Thanks again.
