WTB: km41c1000ap-8 DIPs for Microbotics 8Up!
« on: August 11, 2009, 03:36:49 PM »
Hi there,

I have a Microbotics 8Up! memory card (DIP style) in a Zorro slot of my Amiga 2000.

The 8Up! is not fully populated. I'd like to add the missing memory.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the part number is km41c1000ap-8 DIPs. I need 48 of them.

* I might also be interested in just purchasing a fully populated 8Up! board if anyone wants to part with theirs.

Fester

I have a Supra 8MB board populated with 6MB. If you are interested, make an offer.
Someone has to state the obvious and that someone is me!

Probably not worth my effort, but how much are you willing to pay for each chip? (the reason I ask is because I can get them just whether its worth my effort and if broker offers it at fair price).

Hi nishtek,

I've already tried this route with a broker but they wanted a $300 minimum purchase order. I'm not willing to spend that much for this. It looks like buying these chips will be too expensive for what it's worth to me. I'd pay up to $2 a chip but I doubt I'll find that.

I've found other memory expansion solutions for my Amiga 2000. But if I can get cheap chips to fill my 8Up!, I probably won't refuse.

Tone007,
Oh come on, its not exactly like that.
I have to be realistic as I don't carry all the chips in the world.  They come from a broker, so I asked the poster for his max, as it may not be worth the effort.   Meaning I'm willing to sell, but if I cannot obtain it for a decent price from broker then its just a "bummer".  You know those brokers ask sometimes too high of a price.  Why do you jump and bash a dealer so quickly?  There's so few of us as it is... (and for a good reason, sometimes I wonder).

Update:
KM41C1000P-10, KM41C1000AP-8, KM41C1000AP-7 - all for $2 (refurbished) I believe.  new ones are over $2 even for me.  let me know the quantites as this may also determine if its worth it (they have a minimum order even for me).

Refurbished KM41C1000AP-8 is fine. I'd need 50 of them.
