Certainly looks good, but I wonder if they've managed to keep the feeling of the original games. Still, worth keeping an eye on it  :-)

Last ninja 4 my ass! This is just another 3D game. How many kids will buy a Ninja game in 2004 for their consoles? This game has to be super duper good to be a success. I can't be arsed playing something like that just because the name is Last Ninja 4.

I wonder why they didn't go for a real 3D version of the original. They could have use the same perspective given in real 3d and 3D rendered graphics. Imagine that, a revamped version of the original. That would have been great. Most old 8-bit gamers with PCs now, would have been interested in that.

I prefer to play Max Payne 2 now. Can't be arsed for another 3D game that uses a name to sell more copies. Last Ninja died in the early 90s for me. This is the First (crap) 3D Ninja...

well ermm, everytime there is a ninja game about to come out some one screams its last ninja 4.

SUXX.

it happen when CORE released their ninja game in 99 ? (playstation etc) (the users called it TLN 4 etc) , game was not total crap but it was crap compared to what i expected since people called it the new LAST NINJA game.

Then came Tenchu and people screamed LAst ninja IV again...  same as above...i liked it but hated it when i thinknked of it as LAST NINJA 4.

3d is wrong for such an game and the whole thing of last ninja was to look for stuff and fight! , with view like tenchu/thus new remake :P it represent nothing of the orginal's gameplay.

and i am pretty sure people wont hype the music up like they did on the c64/amiga etc.

nothing is special on pc anymore , everyhing is just about money....suxx....1 good game a year MAX .... maybe 3 games you will remeber when u get old.

AMIGA OWNS! and i rather have a500 whdload version on amigaone than a game with a name but no special gameplay aimed at it (last ninja 4).

i wonder when  Target "renegade" 4 will come :)
Whats up with all the hate!

Manicx: I personally think it would be quite boring if they only did a graphical remake of the old classics. If you want pure nostalgia, use an emulator, or better yet a real C=64, and play the original game.

I say we don't judge the gameplay of this game before we've tried it out. Whether they use the name only to sell the game, or if they've actually managed to make a good game remains to be seen.

Have you played the remake of Head Over Heels on the PC? It rocks man. It's just amazing, beautiful and 100% loyal to the original . This is what I mean with a remake.

They got a 8bit game and made it cute and as playable as the old version. Same goes for Tempest 2k. It was a remake of the old arcade classic but it was 10 times better and more addictive. A remake should not be the same, but they can add some original ideas, but I still believe that the graphics should have been loyal to the old classic. I don't want to play the same game, I want to play a NEW game based on LN. If I want to play LN, I fire up winVICE and I do play it...

Yeah i heard about this game some time ago coming for that m$ Box, looks nice....

The Last Ninja Trilogy i absolutely loved on the C-64, ok 4 if you include the LN2 remix edition,  probably my fav games on that platform.
I was very disapointed with the Amiga versions, dunno WTF they done in the conversions but it sucked.

Anyways any kind of offical update to a new platform has been a very long time coming, i hope it keeps some of the elements that made the C64 game so fantastic and not just another crap 3D game that the market is plagued with,  be nice if they include some the original music to  :-D

Time to dig out my Last Ninja audio CD collection ;-)
