Recommended Mini-ATX case for Pegasos II?
« on: July 29, 2009, 06:45:00 PM »
Hi #?,

well.. it turns out that I bought a Peg II recently (mobo, memory, cpu card only) and I'm starting to build it up. I just want to hear from other Pegasos users what you consider a good case option for it...  I've been looking at Antec's Aria enclosure but that's probably not the best choice outhere.

Anyone got a good suggestion?

Thanks in advance!

I used the SilverStone SG01 for my Pegasos which is a nice case.

I have two PegII's both in Antek NSK3480 mini tower cases.  Very happy with them.  Much more accesible than cubes like the Aria but still nice and compact.

Thanks for the suggestions folkz!

I'll open a new thread soon regarding the Peg II, installation and configuration... I'm totally new to it!

More suggestions on cases welcome!

I rebuilt my peg 2 in a X-Cube case which i really like :- http://www.xcase.co.uk/X-Case-X-Cube-Black-with-window-650-Watt-Psu-p/x-case-xcube-bww.htm

When I bought it, it was in an Antec Aria case and to be honest I hated it. This was mainly due to a number of threads where stripped out of the aluminium and when you moved it the the sides fell off.

The X-cube is far roomier for hardly any size increase.

Thanks folkz. I will get a quote for shipping.. I bet it's gonna be very expensive.. we'll see if it's worth it or not!

BTW.. I checked on bplan's website for the smartfirmware updates for the pegasos.. it's not available anymore, is it? Wonder if anyone has the latest version...

Here's a very similar case available in the states.

Personally I think the best "cube" case is the Lian Li PC-V350/351.

Time to move on.  Bye Amiga.org.  :(

Here's one on ebay:- http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-ALUMINUM-Micro-Cube-Case-PC-ATX-400W-Firewire-USB_W0QQitemZ280373550456

Lots on there different colours and with or without side windows.

These cases take a lot of wear, mines has been dragged to user groups etc for at least 3 years and the only where is on the clour of the fron panel.

Mine can be seen working here :- http://www.flickr.com/photos/lincsamigagroup/2084489613/
