Or if Parnet's too slow, put the 1.3 hard drive into the 2.04's SCSI chain, copy 'em there, and move the drive back.

Doomy, I agree! 1.3 does look better than 2.x+, I bet you can't wait for the 1.3 skin for AROS

well my cdtv is only 1.3 but that has its own filesystem if i where you i would try finding a rom switcher and make a bootdisk for kickstart 2 with cdrom drivers  and boot in workbench 2 disk copy files to you hard drive from the cd then switch to 1.3 rom and boot from harddrive . :-)

DoomMaster,

If you got off your fat ass and just swallow your pride and just get and Amiga 1200, 3000 or 4000 then you will get none of this problems.

Like I said....

"XeteX  CDX" will install your CD Rom on OS 1.3.
I have it but I also use it so its not for sale.

Well, it's a somewhat mute point. If he didn't want any of these problems he should go for a PC... or at least a Pegasos or an AmigaONE.

1200, 3000 and 4000 are all pretty much just curiosities now :-(

Sure, get yourself an Amiga 500 and A570 CD drive.

You CAN’T use a CD-Rom drive on a toy Amiga 2000 because Commodore never released "Professional CD Drive Upgrade" for it.  Commodore new the A2000 was JUNK that's why they ONLY released a CD expansion for the TRUE FLAGSHIP Amiga - The AMIGA 500!!!!! :-P

I mean how can you call a computer PROFESSIONAL if the MANUFACTURER NEVER EVEN SOLD A CD DRIVE for it?

Back in my day, we didn\'t have water. We only had Oxygen and Hydrogen, and we\'d just have to shove them together.

First of all, I am not fat.  I am a slender, good-looking man that should be a model.  I am half English and half German and ALL European.  As far as pride is concerned, if you were me, The DoomMaster, you would have a lot to be proud of, but you are not, so you just talk crap.

Second, I would never buy an Amiga 1200 computer for myself.  I am smart enough to know that the Amiga 1200 is a piece of low-quality, poorly designed piece of crap.  And the Amiga 3000 and 4000 will not run the vintage games.

Third, I never have any problems with my Amiga 2000 Series computers.  They are very well made and have stood the test of time !     :-D

To DoomMaster:

Why to fit a CDROM in an amiga?

As you said before "it will do better on native plataform"

....and...if you helped a lot in the soon-to-release AMiGA OS4 (which
are you making for your uique AMiGA 2000 Professional Computer
series)... why the hell are you pisseing us with that dummy
questions!!!

You have the know to teach every of us! :roflmao:

and owith the subject of the CDROM... asl your coworkers at Hyperion,
but I doubt a MILITARY GRADE CDROM was ever released for the AMIGA
PROFESSIONAL SERIES!

Doomy,

There is a version of AsimCDFS that will run under 1.3. I have it packed away somewhere. Haven't seen it in years.  A 3000 may be the way to go for you. If you get one with the original ROMs (not 2.04) the early boot screen gave you an option of soft kicking into 1.3 or 2.x. Of course a rom switcher for your 2000 would do the same trick.
Your 2000's may be built like a tank but a 3000 may have been the best Amiga ever built!  :-D

BTW Doomster I own 1 1000 in pieces now, 1 500, 6 2000's, 2 3000d's, 3 4000d's, and 1 4000t. The 4000t and 3000's are much better machines than the 2000's although the 2000's do put out a very good video signal out of their genlocks.
