external floppy drive
« on: July 26, 2009, 09:02:08 PM »
Hi all yet again....
after getting my Powertower up and running finally, I had my external floppy drive unit on a table that I was working on to find I knocked it the the floor, now the damn thing wont read discs.
There is nothing rolling around in there so the damage cant be that bad.
I am thinking is it the read write head that has gone out of alignment?

If so are they easy to get back?
I don't really want to bin it.

TIA,

Mike.

Its a Citizen type.

It might be just as cheap to get one from eBay.
