Looking for a tool like FitDisk, but for bigger medias
« on: July 23, 2009, 12:55:09 PM »
Hi.
I need a tool like this one
http://aminet.net/package/disk/misc/FitDisk2_1
but for bigger storage medias than floppy disks.
I need it because it's a VERY tedious process to select the right files that will fill a CD, from WorkBench, manually. I hope there is a tool or a better way to do this.

Why do you think it does not work with big mediums ? As far as I understand the documentation, you just need to specify the right number of free 512 byte blocks on your disk.

You are right, Thomas. I had the false impression that it works only for floppy disks. It is possible to define the capacity of the target medium via the BLOCKS argument.
Thanks for the tip!
