Amiga a4000 060
« on: July 11, 2009, 01:17:08 PM »
Hi,
This lot will be for sale soon...

I have been clearing the loft and have found my old A4000 desktop.
it has a CyberStorm 060 50mhz (plus original daughter board) and a Cybervison 64 graphics card.
It has also got twin hard drives a CD and extra memory, not sure how much.
Also a Cumana external Floppy drive. plus mags, cover floppies/CD's, games mostly boxed, etc etc.

Is it worth anything???
I am in the Midlands (England)
Cheers

its not worth anything, you should give it to me. I'm in the midlands (Nottingham) and i would come and collect it lol.

No in seriousness i cannot give you figures but i can tell you that if its in good working order you can get a decent price as a complete machine but you would get more by splitting out the accelerator & graphics card and selling them seperately from the machine.

Hi I am also in Nottingham.
I have the original boxes for the items so I could split them. Not the computer.
I thought it might be a nice buy for someone.
I think I would like to get rid of the lot in one go.

well i recently sold my A4000 Desktop which was basically stock (030) but i also had a commodore a3640 (040) cpu card with it and i sold the lot for £180.
However your cyberstorm and cybervision graphics card could be worth at least that much on their own.
I have just done a quick search and found that someone sold a cyberstorm Mk1 060 last year for $400 (about £240) and a cybervision 64 was sold for £125.
But its really up to you and what you'd be willing to accept for it, either by selling various parts or as a complete system.

Its pronbably worth about £300 - £375. Have you checked the battery? If there's battery damag to the M/B it won't be worth as much.
A3000T, Cybervision64, CSMKII 060; A3000D, PicassoII, Z3 Fastlane; A2000D, 040, PicassoII; A4000D, A1200, Blizzard 030 MKIV  (not working - next project)

Yes - It was I who bought scrappysh's A4000!

VFRAMIGA - If you are interested in parting the system could you please let me know?  As I would like to make you an offer for the CyberStorm to complete a nice little system, we could also come to some arragement with regards to a 030 or 040 CPU card so you can sell the remaining system.

Cheers

I still have the original 030
One problem I do have is that my LCD monitors do not like the output from the Amiga.
I will have to grab a CRT from some one.

@VFRAMIGA, Let me check tomorrow for you because i think i have a Philips Amiga monitor you can have free of charge if your willing to come and collect it from me. I'm in Nottingham as stated earlier.
Its not in perfect cosmetic condition but it does work.

However you wsh to do it, i don't mind. I'll drop a message here tomorrow when i've dug it out and we'll take it from there. If you can't do tomorrow at anytime then i'm sure we could arrange something for in the week. I'm available most days.

Hi everyone,

Looks like there are a few of us in Nottingham. Where bouts is everyone? I'm in Radcliffe on Trent myself.

It seems domb is interested in your CyberStorm. I would just like to put forward my interest in the A4000 and maybe the Cybervision as well. I currently have an A1200 but really have been lusting after an A4000 pretty much since I sold mine nearly 10 years ago :-)

Look forward to talking to you soon.

Mike - yes, another one :-)

Lincolnshire myself - just below Sleaford!

Milke, let us know how you get on with the monitor, I could possibly part with the one you kindly gave to me.  Hoping to bid on a EGS board, so it might possibly become redundant very soon.
