Happy birthday, Release 3.1!

AmigaOS 3.1 turns 15 today (the 6th), judging by the datestamps on the disks.

Interestingly, the dates in the version strings of individual files are mostly from early 1993 - this would coincide with development of the 4000T as well. I wonder what the OS group was up to between then and the bankrupcy? Probably laid off, unfortunately...

So in case any former 3.1 developers are reading, thanks for this very important release of our favorite OS!

Happy Birthday 3.1! Reminds me... I remember 3.0 and the release of the A1200 REAL well as I was one of the first in my area to snag one up. There was a frickin' shortage of A1200's and that always adds to the anxiety of ownership. What a huge step up OS wise though for the Amiga: 3.0/3.1. In retrospect, I remember feeling kinda "duped" that my machine had 3.0 ROMS/OS and 3.1 was released & hyped shortly after that  :-(   Accidental or not, planned or not: typical Commodore move to yank us like that! lol
