Disposable computer in the future.
« on: October 28, 2003, 04:02:30 PM »
Hello
Recently Plantic (OZ) had announced disposable
plastic. To destroy the plastic, just pour water.
Similar disposable metal was invented several
year ago. Is it possible to create 100% water
disposable PC in the future?

the product does not have a pleasant taste but could be used for example in pet food where the dog eats the food and then eats the bowl its served in.

 something about that makes me laugh, sorry.

Hmm, I suppose the question has to be, why would you want to? I can't think of any useful application. Small devices used for security etc? It would do no good if all you needed to shoplift was a bit of water. And imagine in the office environment - you wouldn't get coffee rings, you'd have coffee-oops-my-computer's-not-there-anymores ;-)

Interesting all the same though, a degradable plastic alternative, could be useful for some packaging applications I suppose.

I think disposable PCs are great for the mainstream market. They're obsolete as soon as you get them home, so if there's an environmentally friendly way to get rid of them , I'm all for it.

Just don't ask me to buy a disposable Amiga! :-)

I don;t think you'd want to pour water on it while it's plugged in... another way to kill off the world's idiots eh?
