I installed it on WinUAE with bsdsocket emulation enabled. It works really great, *with* the Internet. There must be some other problem on your installation.

The only think I did not manage so far was the use of http_proxy under WinUAE/bsdsocket emulation. (necessary at work for most internet pages)
At home without the proxy requirement its really nice!

The cause may be that usergroup.library is missing. Install it (it's from AmiTCP package)
to AmiTCP:Libs and please tell us if it works.

Add a http_proxy:your_proxy_number option to Resources/Options file.
Please report us if it solved the problem.

This version now works on my system with amigasys4 and amikit, although the window is a bit too small and the scrollbars don't work (the arrows do work). Strangely it still doesn't work (no connection) on my own setup. I've already made serveral changes taken from the amigasys4 and amikit setups, but can't get it to work. Any ideas ???

@x303: you can set window resolution in the resources/options file.
@yssing: you have to have the ixemul.library 61.1 installed and an appropriate screenmode set. since the most people having problems are using 24bit workbbench and uae dosnt supportit as im told. so maybe u have an 8bit color depth, if not just try another 32/16 bit mode?

Thx. Unfortunately, when using amikit setting netsurf's window to 1024x768 made the right scrollbar fall out of the window. And sometimes the window isn't refreshed until you scroll the page up/down.
Javascript support still disabled ?

@x303
Visit the netsurf homepage, http://www.netsurf-browser.org, yes javascript is still kind of "disabled", or, to me more accurate,  development state is "Not started" ;-)

netsurf need amitcp.maybe thats problem

if you have OS3.5 or 3.9 install genesis, (need not start, you can still use Miami)

then you need add a assign  for amitcp to your genesis dir.

assign amitcp: dh1:genesis

its also possible that you have some time ago disable ixemul internet access.

start ixprefs and look if this is switch on.

Thx for your help. I put networking support on and netsurf worked (still a bit slow, but..). I moved the ixemul config from my a1200, which never had to enable network support. It only made the system a lot slower because it was looking for inet all the time. So I turned it off ages ago.
Again thx for your top tip. I never would have found it without you.

@x303, maybe this was not clearly stated (due to language barrier, lol) but netsurf expects your size definition to be browser area only, tollbars and so on apparently add to that, so you have to define your window at least 20 pixels smaller than your display resolution.

@artur: your last ns versions throw hits on my setup on the start and close. i recall as if it was already taken care of in the last version, but i cant check since crash wiped last updates out of my boot partition? bernds builds doesnt show that problem. maybe check back with him.

also i would opt for the original netsurf toolbar images at the moment. these turquise overlay it is supposed to be alpha channel i believe. there is still some rendering glitches with half transparent images. i dont think it makes sence to check against os4 version since it isnt sdl anymore.

Sorry, but this IS a bug. Setting the windowsize to 800x600 kicks the right scrollbar out. Setting it 20 pix smaller gets it in, but the total windowsize becomes 788x600, not 800x600 !!! BTW, i think the code itself should distract the 20 pix off the total size, not the user.
