Yep, Amiga is no longer a poor mans hobby, it's moved to the collectable price range and as equipment dies and supply becomes more scarce it will only become more expensive.  Ironic that a machine that started out as a "people's machine" ends up as just the opposite.

Me, I'm out of the market.  I'll keep what I've got but if it dies I'm not replacing it, UAE is so much faster and better that I no longer can justify the price spread.

What we\'re witnessing is the sad, lonely crowing of that last, doomed cock.

Am I the only one who think's it's really stupid how people pay this ammount for old computer gear? Don't get me wrong I love old Amiga's with their feel and charm that you don't get from other machines, but they are just going to hardcore geeks that are clearly obsessed with getting anything which has the Amiga and/or C= badge (more money then sence maybe?).
It's a shame such a simpleton/tight git like me will never own such a nice machine at a resonable price. Besides i'm happy with my A1200T and A4000/040.
