A4000 + GFX card .. Nubee question

Sorry for sounding like a newbe but i just wanna know exactly what type of video card i can put in my A4000 .

Could i use any PC ISA or VLB GFX card ?

Would i be able to connect to a VGA/LCD monitor without any need of a scan doubler / flickfix ?

The A4000 is a standard A4000/030 apart from having a 50Mhz accelerator card .

You cannot use just any old PCI/ISA, etc. PeeCee card in your A4000. What you're looking for are Zorro II or III cards (Amiga standard). Treat your Miggy to a CV64/3D or better yet, a Picasso IV video card. Picasso IV is going to offer a little better performance since it utilised the Zorro III bus in your A4000. Both models have optional FF/SD bits, but the Picasso IV usually comes with one. Expect to pay handsomely for a PIV. At about half the price, the CV64/3D is an awesome card  for the money.

An indivision scandoubler would be better option and easier to get if your just gonna be playing games or general workbench use i would think.

If your gonna start using the 4000 as a main computer to do internet and other stuff then a vid card is a good idea.. Keep in mind if its a model without a scandoubler then it wont pass through the native amiga resolutions for games and non workbench apps. etc..

Options:
1. An amiga zorro card, picasso IV is the ultimate, built in sd/ff.
, others , cybervision64,cybervision64/3d,picasso2, gvp spectrum etc..
2. A pci bus board with a pci voodoo3/4/5 etc..  No scandoubler but higher res graphics.

I think ill go for the Indi 4000 as it seems the most cost effective option right now and i guess i can still use the A4000 at a decent resolution and eventually i can always upgrade the CPU or something .
